Televisual Imponderables

Do vampires ever need to go to the toilet?

Does Scorpius ever wash his cooling suit?

Does Simon trust River with razor blades or does he shave her legs himself?

I think we should be told.

Given Simon and River's "special" relationship (which was annoyingly not present in the film... bah!) I have to conclude that he does indeed shave his sister. And he probably enjoys it.

More importantly, do they ever brush their teeth?

Ha. I was wondering that last night. Got to assume it's self-cleaning. Maybe.

I don't think John ever washed that horrible green shirt. Smelly boy.

It's the future, people. Do we really think that something as archaic and tedious as shaving will still be necessary? No. They're probably all genetically-engineered not to have leg hair if they don't want it or something. Or they'll, at the very least, have perfected hair-removal cream. And you can already get decent epilators in our own wonderful day and age, so nope - I don't think Simon shaves River's legs, or trusts her with razor blades. Razors are probably totally obsolete.

We do see Chiana do the laundry at some point so at least she is nice and clean.

Nah you see, I see Serenity as such an on-the-run outfit that they're probably lucky if they have one rusty old cut-throat razor to share between them, let alone fancy-pants hair-removal cream.

I can just see Jayne liking the idea of shaving with a razor that the girls had been using. (Inara would have her own though.)

More importantly, do they ever brush their teeth?
Heehee the fang-brushing in Harm's Way...
