For Myo

Because we have cliffs too, you know. And ours are prettier... ;)

Taken while down in Brighton visiting my dad - this is the first of the Seven Sisters, at Cuckmere Haven.

This is up closer, and you can just about see the layers of flint in the chalk:

From on top, looking back down: I think the path used to go across there...

And looking the other way, towards the rest of the sisters.

So pretty.

Below freezing though, that day. Brrr.

Oh, I'm not that big a fan of cliffs anyway. Give me mountains and lochs. I just thought they were very...English. Bluebirds over and all that.

It's pretty, but it also makes poor old england look tiny and crumbly. We are so falling into the sea.

Thankyou skits.
They are indeed very white cliffs.
Sooo white ... and such a contrast to the dirty grey/brown sludgy-coloured stuff at the bottom of the cliffs. That's where we normally put the golden coloured sands, you know.
* innocent face*
Do you not have any golden sand?

Anyways, i am glad you've got your pix set up so you can click and see bigger picture now.

And keep the pictures coming! I like pictures of mountains and lochs too.

Well, I think it's pretty, even if there isn't any golden sand.

Thank you, Defending Emma.

:)

And no, no nice sand there (although no sludge either...those are pebbles, Myo) - but other places do have nice yellow sand. Or nice white sand. Or rockpools. Or mud. One thing Britain has is plenty of coastline...

So I'm not the only one to walk out on those wet pebbles to photograph that precise view (of the first cliff). But I din't get a photo from the top down. Seeing the crumbly nature of the cliff I'm glad I didn't. Dramatic.

Hah! Yes - I waded slightly.

Father: is the tide coming in or going out?

Me: well, we'll find out in a minute.
