Get on with it. I'd suggest Heroes, Due South and then a bit of Donnie Darko.
How the hell did you end up with all of that?
Yikes.
I have nothing.
I'll make things one movie easier-- cross Back to the Future 2 off your list.
Hah. I'm feeling pretty good that my list isn't as bad as that at the moment.
You have seen the Back to the Future films before, right?
I think I've only seen the first one, and a very long time ago.
How the hell did you end up with all of that?
...I willed it?
Or more realistically, I kept rewatching other things while still purchasing shiny stuff wherever I saw it?
Well, obviously you should start with The Empire Strikes Back. And not only because it is my all-time favourite film. It is the absolute best of all the Star Wars movies, and needs to be viewed without delay.
At least I've seen Mr. Darcy in his prissy lace shirts. You haven't even watched Luke's transformation from naive farmboy to focused Jedi. Pfft.
He still looks like a farmboy at the end though.
It is the absolute best of all the Star Wars movies
Which makes it kind of mediocre in film terms...
Starwars really hasn't aged nicely. I was extremely underwhelmed when I watched it for the first time a few years ago.
They should be watched for historical reasons, but not for brilliant storytelling.
Yeah - I've actually owned Star Wars the longest of anything on that list. I will watch it eventually.
One Heroes ep down. Like a skittle.
Vote Petrelli!
Waffles, wehoo!
Why not watch Back to the Future 2? It's superb.
Commenting under the assumption that you haven't seen any of these before:
You have to watch Hogfather. Death is fantastic, Susan is fantastic, Teatime is wonderfully creepy (I was transfixed by him throughout the entire show).
Scrubs is always a safe bet.
Agree with Kepp - Back to the Future 2 is great. All three movies are fond favourites of mine.
Black Books! Wahey!
Donnie Darko = mindfuck. Same goes for Being John Malkovich. Two great movies though.
Eh. Star Wars. Don't rush to watch them.
Futurama! Futurama Futurama Futurama! If you haven't seen any of it before, it needs to go straight to the top of your list. It's brilliant. Brilliant I say!
I also love Back to the Future 2. It's my favourite of the BTTF movies.
Donnie Darko and Being John Malkovich are indeed brilliant films. I could watch them both over and over.
And do rush to watch Star Wars! They're cinema history! Yes, there's some other great stuff in your list, but classics should always have a certain precedence, IMO. It would be like watching Pirates of the Caribbean over Casablanca. Whatever you think of the latter, it's just one of those things you have to watch at some point.
And ner to j. I happen to have a soft spot for farmboys. :P
...shall I mention that I haven't watched Casablanca? :)
There are a few things on there I have watched before, but sufficiently long ago that I can't really remember them. Obviously Red Dwarf falls in this category, as do Black Books, Trainspotting, some of SatC, Due South, Kind Hearts & Coronets and DtDD. But I included them because I still need to watch them as I've totally forgotten them.
And I will admit to trying to start Futurama before and getting bored. I know loads of you love it, and for that I'll give it a second chance sometime but...well, we'll see.
"Star Wars! They're cinema history!"
Yes- note the word history.
I do think Empire Strikes Back to be a fantastic film in its own right though. And skit would enjoy it for the darkness.
I don't know how anyone can meh over Futurama. There must be something wrong with you.
Hmm. I also meh over Futurama. Sorry... *gulp*
And yes. There is much darkness in Empire. Right up Skit's street.
